WHY THEY IS NEED TO INJECT NEW BLOOD AS SENATOR TO REPRESENT CR NORTHERN SENATORIAL DISTRICT

As the state is prime to start another political journey in no distance time, commentators, analysts, sycophants, gossips, pipers and other political pundits have all developed cold feet to comment on the next plan of actions by the main actors of the game. This is perhaps because a few who are occupying office(s) want to consolidate the position or move to a higher position and majority who are playing behind the scene want to join the caravan. So, some who comment on social issues are aloof because of the fear of the unknown. However, people say : what is constant in life is change. (Change) in itself is opposed to the word (constant) so the two concepts are at variance to each other .

Why all the allegories above ? I belong to the league of analysts who believe that there is nothing that is 'too good'  that can not be improved upon. I have listened and read from sycophants in their different write ups about the performance of Senators who have represented Northern Senatorial district  of Cross River State. Some are laughable, some contain vitriolic, some with rhetorics; others are entertaining fictions.

At times, people write to square up what they get from their principal, good and fine ! But where facts are misconstrued and what does not exist is brought to the fore, it sparks off reactions. My reactions stem from the publication of agent of Senator (Dr) Rose Oko who reeled out the developmental project she  initiated and  executed in her constituency even a few  project she initiated while in the House of Representatives were all lumped together. Even if you over task your energy to ascribe government projects to Senator Rose Oko, we know that the wind of change has come to face out politicians who have been in power over time especially the likes of Senator ( Dr) Rose Oko.

I mentioned (Change ) earlier , permit me to elucidate further that the word CHANGE as popularised by former US president Barack Obama, has become a popular political tool used by  political pundits that want to make a difference in their aspirations to govern people. But the question is : is it easy to effect a change ? No ,but CHANGE is the engine of hope: they can be no hope if people do not wage struggle to change things. Dominant forces do not want change because it  threatens their interest. Is Senator Rose Oko ready to change baton ?  We can not continue to do a particular thing and expect a different result.

The people of Mbube East voted Senator Rose Oko overwhelmingly in 2015 even though in absentia. When last did she visit the people of Mbube East ? Who has benefited from her empowerment from Mbube East ? We have resolved to support a younger person this time. A vibrant young man who is youth friendly. A person that has worked hand-in-glove with the present administration. A person who shares the same level of determination with the Governor of the state to take Cross River State to the next level. A young man who will navigate the political pathway for youths.
We are truly tired with recycling same people we talked about in the 80's.
Senator Rose Oko's self acclaimed vision for moving her people forward has become obscured to the people themselves. Her comical whims in office have become a thread of shame and absurdity with serious consequences that do not appear to have weighed on her mind at the time of making her decision to return back to senate. Her sheer show of  wealth and opulence displayed  in recent times  in the name  of empowerment is a mere fancy nomenclature of kindness which she never display from the beginning.. Those empty extravagant claims of performance as displayed by her agent are façade of real life.

Let my distinguished Senator examine, reexamined and cross examine her conscience to see the area where she has failed her people. If she has done all that her agents claimed will that warrant her prolong stay in office ? Let"s watch out !

Paddy Buturo.

The community constitutes one of the highest voting strengths in the entire Yala and regarded as a business hub of the region; the entire LG. Yehe community has been a  hospitable abode for foreigners such as Igbo's, Hausa's, Yoruba's, etc for many years. It is a place of peace with a set of lovely people who are absolute respecters of the constitution.
