THE HYPOCRISY OF NIGERIAN MEDIA..
BY:Egbara Emmanuel.

Let me begin by stating that all in the world is not as you have been told, the greatest lies that have ruin the world are filtered from the media houses especially the ones bought by the conscience of cabals to deceive the world.

The old saying that "truth is stranger than fiction" couldn't be more accurate, for we have been deceived on such a grand scale that most would have a difficult time in comprehending the full extent, let me briefly bring in the scenerio of the chibok girls that out of all the girls kidnapped no one can speak  English Language, non is from any community except chibok community, that the daughter of the principal among the over 200 girls was not kidnapped, that now the principal is a commissioner for Education in the same state, let me stop here before I get derailed from my focus.

The behind the scenes machinations of big lies and politics are so well hidden from most of the population, that if people actually knew how things were really run, we would quite literally have a second revolution overnight.

Henry Ford knew this well when he said, "It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning."

The quote by this scholar is the situation of Nigeria
Most people who read this might have a hard time fathoming how an entire nation could be so well deceived, but it's really not that hard when you understand the inner workings and hierarchy of an overly revered media in which we place our blind trust especially the channels television , truth is not as you know it.

Our faith in the media myth has been our Achilles heel.
Many have realized long ago that our politicians will lie to us at the drop of a hat, but most have no clue that our news media lies and deceives us just as much,
if not more so ,Channels television was given another award last week for deceiving the world through blackmail ,lies and propaganda,I recalled how they were celebrating the war against Boko Haram and the same station is telling us how a twin bomb blast rock Maidugri on Sunday night.

We have been deceived by our media to such an extent, mostly because people are too trusting of our news system.

They very naively believe that broadcasters and journalists would never lie to us.

This trust has worked against us with devastating consequences which are unknown to most.

To understand how badly you have been misled, you first need to learn about how our news organizations have been infiltrated.

Once you learn this undeniable historical fact, it is far easier to understand that life is not as you know it.

The First Attack On The Media, Through Money
If you've never seen the 1976 movie "Network" you've missed one of the best Oscar nominated films on the power of the media over people.

The media is supposed to be the watchdog over the  republic of Nigeria and our democracy, but few know or realize that it was usurped nearly 60 years ago and has been completely stolen from us in the last thirty years since the advent of this mad men in power.

Don't believe it? Put down the TV remote and do some research on your own for once, instead of being spoon-fed your news, or disinformation, as it truly is.

Consider this quote from John Swinton, former managing editor, The New York Times (and New York Sun)...
"There is no such thing, at this date of the world's history, in America, as an independent press.

You know it and I know it. There is not one of you who dares to write your honest opinions, and if you did, you know beforehand that it would never appear in print, this man was talking for Nigeria not for America if I may carefully put my anger together.

Our press men are paid weekly by this blood socking demons
for keeping honest opinion out of the media we are connected with.

Others of you are paid similar salaries for similar things, and any of you who would be so foolish as to write honest opinions would be out on the streets looking for another job.

My assertion above put is where we are today
If I allowed my honest opinions to appear in one issue of my paper, before twenty-four hours my occupation would be gone, this is the thinking of Nigeria media house .

The business of the journalists is to destroy the truth; to lie outright; to pervert; to vilify; to fawn at the feet of mammon, and to sell his country and his race for his daily bread.

You know it and I know it and what folly is this toasting an independent press? They are the tools and vassals of rich men behind the scenes. They are the jumping jacks, they pull the strings and we dance.

Our talents, our possibilities and our lives are all the property of other men.

The politicians decide what will appear on the news papers ,killing the  truth to suit their ill  attitudes.

The foundation of our forefather's dream of Constitutional freedom had been deeply wounded.

The Attack On The Media, Through withdrawal of coverage of some media houses
As if that wasn't bad enough, the minister for information made its own foray into news control last year with a program to infiltrate the media, with the idea to have select journalists parrot the official government line under the guise of national patriotism.

Some news members were simply duped, naively thinking that they were helping Nigerians by disseminating important news.

Others were simply unscrupulous and morally deficient in their professional trade and were easily enough bought out, spewing whatever disinformation and propaganda that they could cash in on.

This project was known as" change begin with me" the name alone was suggestive of the mission's objective, total control of the Nigerian media system.

Many might naively scoff at such an idea, until perhaps they hear it straight from the horse's mouth.

If that quote alone isn’t enough to raise a
“Spock eyebrow” “We'll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the Nigeria public believes is false.”

All I perceived is that information is as good as gold, and he who controls information can use that data for political gain, power and wealth.

I Egbara Emmanuel can openly say hundreds of
broadcasters and noted journalists involved in deceitful act are under the payroll of the ruling masters.

A great many of our hallowed media outlets were alleged to be involved with the Mockingbird project,of the last election including over 400 journalists who were used for numerous assignments, not to mention many publishing institutions which were also rumored to be involved
.

The Nigerian  media facilitates the agenda of "Change by simply avoiding stories altogether that are meant to be kept from the public, or else by mixing some truth with blatant misinformation, to purposefully muddy the water and obfuscate the real facts behind the story.

Make no mistake about it, a dictator or a derivation of it, is still alive and operating as our media continues to mislead the public on everything and anything that those pulling the strings wish their paid media puppets to sell to us.

Whether it be the numerous unreported incongruities of killing in the  Northern Kaduna, the budget padding , the orchestrated economic collapse, the media has not told us anything close to the truth .

Every media house is own by a politician, it is now all too easy to propagandize and manipulate the people through the press.

Until people give up their longstanding, naive faith in our controlled corporate news media, they will never find their way out of disillusionment, nor ever know the real truth.

Due to the vicissitudes of this juncture as triggered by the force of 2019 political uncertainty in our nation, Nigeria, a lot of political particles have been energized for their ultimate interest which is not alien to our kind of politics. Obama: Unedited Farewell Speech in Chicago.

Here is an unedited transcript of President Obama’s prepared remarks during his farewell address in Chicago, as provided by the White House. --- It’s good to be home.  My fellow Americans, Michelle and I have been so touched by all the well-wishes we’ve received over the past few weeks.  But tonight it’s my turn to say thanks.  Whether we’ve seen eye-to-eye or rarely agreed at all, my conversations with you, the American people – in living rooms and schools; at farms and on factory floors; at diners and on distant outposts – are what have kept me honest, kept me inspired, and kept me going.  Every day, I learned from you.  You made me a better president, and you made me a better man. I first came to Chicago when I was in my early 20s, still trying to figure out who I was; still searching for a purpose to my life.  It was in neighborhoods not far from here where I began working with church groups in the shadows of closed steel mills.  It ...

MAKING YALA GREAT AGAIN

Fortnights ago, in one of my penultimate articles titled; YALA LGA POLITICS IN FOCUS: A CHRONICLE Of ITS POLITICAL TRAJECTORY, where I attempted to straighten a sloppy contour in Yala political delineation based on available statistics. I inaccurately wrote that Mr. Omaga Odo the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Cross River State chapter Secretary was from O’oh councilward; rather, he’s from Okpoma ward. Again, the write-up portrayed Gabu and Yache as unit ward. There’re actually autonomous wards of their own. Also, I mistakenly omitted Wanikade ward from the list of wards in constituency II. The error and omission are highly regrettable and no harm whatsoever conceived or intended. As June 17 approaches, a lot of political blitzes are ongoing— consultation, enlightenment campaign, permutation, and scheme and gimmick to woo the electorate and court the courtesy of some monopolistic politicians. Varied interests are building up in different directions. Some are in line with zoning par...
