NotTooPoorToRun: Youths can now vie for elective positions with or without money!



As the political space begins to gather momentum and youth activist clamoring for inclusion in governance and policy making in the country, a political party National Rescue Movement, NRM today launched the #NotTooPoorToRun inline with the newly signed bill into law #NotTooYoungToRun by Mr president.

The NRM is in partnership with One Adult One Youth Advocacy Group and Youth Take Over which their vision and aims are in tandem with the party.

The national chairman of the party, a former upper chamber legislator, Sen. Saidu Mohammed stated, "its  time for the youth to take over governance since the elders has failed you. Nigeria has never had it as hard as now, Nigeria has never been so shattered as we are now, peace and prosperity and welfare of the people is never guaranteed any longer. We are not prepared to relegate our identity, the philosophy of the part, NRM remains in tact."

He further said that politics has been trailing with the monetary enticement which has made the youth impossible to vie for elective positions.

The youth leader of the party, Comr Gabriel Ashibi stated that it's not just enough to sign Not Too Young To Run bill into law, but also to make available what it takes for  young people to vie for positions without money.

In furtherance, the president and convener of One Adult One Youth Lilian Ogbole speak for the optimism of the Nigerian youth taking powers and restoring the lost glory of Nigeria. She opined, "We are here as voice of the voiceless to stand for those who are suffering, hopeless, those in penury and to chat a way forward for a new Nigeria ; Nigeria that will speak favorably in the comity of nations".


All NRM presidential and national assembly aspirants spoke vividly about the way forward for a new Nigeria. A Nigeria where law and justice shall reign, peace and harmony is entrenched, both the poor and rich can be seen as one and equal as such be given equal benefit of democratic dividends. Inline with the aim of not too poor to run, the aspirants collectively agreed to identify capable youths devoid of financial status house with great ideas and potentials to take Nigeria to her glorious state. They all unanimously support the not too poor to run movement.


Youth activist and a staunch supported of good governance, Comr Adoga Michael added his voice that it's time to sensitize the youth on the need to embrace the not too poor to run initiative. He says politicians that pays money into office can never and will never lead in accordance to the demand of the people.

The administrative secretary of One Adult One Youth Advocacy Group, Comr Adoga Stephen says Nigerian youths should make themselves available, crave for importance and move for youth inclusion in governance and policy making.

The occasion was graced with dignitaries from all states of the federation.
